Last week we talked about easier ways to help keep your care team up to date, how handy is this idea? This dairy installs clips on each Calf-Tel pen front allowing them to easily hang messages for other members of the team, track calf treatments, and even mark where they left off washing pails. 🤯🐄

Looking for an easy way to keep track of calf issues so that everyone on the care team is up to date? Grab an ear tag and a Sharpie marker to note slow drinkers, electrolytes needed, and treatments. 🏷️🖊️
Ear tags are easily attached to Calf-Tel pens with a zip tie loop under the pen corner pin. When the calf graduates to weaned housing, simply throw the ear tag in a regular washing machine cycle to remove dirt and ink before reuse! ✨

Need a way to bed hutches or calf barns more efficiently? This was on its way to upgrade a farm’s current set up. This gives you the ability to drive through to bed both individual pre-weaned calf pens and the weaned barn group packs.
This large square bale processor mounts on your skid steer, tractor loader, or telehandler and helps you bed in tight spots that are nearly impossible to get to with a trail behind processor. 😃

After last week’s windbreaker handy hint, we thought it was time to share Calf-Tel’s Front Door for hutches. Perfect for use when calves need to stay inside their hutches during storms. We have also witnessed it used to close in everything from baby ducks to pygmy goats that can also reside in hutches. Easy to assemble onto existing hutches! Comment below what lives in your Calf-Tel hutches.
🐄🐖🦘🐕

What do you think of this snow/windbreaker for hutches? Constructed from a piece of old shade cloth, this farm attached a section of 2”x4” wood to each end of the fabric to weigh it down and hold it in place.
By simply hanging it over the fence panel every few hutches, it helps slow the wind enough to eliminate drifting in the fence area! 💨❄️🚫|🐄
If you have a different solution, share it in the comments! 😀

Isn’t it nice to spend time with a friend? Pictured here are two calves being raised as a pair in the Calf-Tel 35|85 XXL hutch. 🐄🐄The larger 8×5-foot area allows plenty of room for these herd members to flourish comfortably.

Following last week’s motorized pail washer invention, these rolling racks are pretty handy for stacking pails to dry! The wheels on the bottom help move the rack close to the sink and then back out of the way after washing is complete. 😀👍

Tired of washing all those buckets by hand? Look at this homemade motorized pail washer!
Farmers have some of the most inventive minds on Earth! 👨🌾👩🌾
This farm fills the sink with wash water and then runs all of their pails through again to rinse & sanitize✨
Whether you have 20 pails or 2000 pails, we think this is a pretty clever idea. 😀💡👍

let’s talk about an easier way to move hutches! These hutch movers have been fabricated by farmers to suit their operation’s needs.
The mover attaches to the front of a skid steer or tractor. From there just simply drive the mover into the front of the hutches & lift. While hutches hang in the air on the mover wash them
Once washing is finished, drive mover back to the hutch pad and reset the hutches. No more crawling inside the hutches to move them individually like a turtle in its shell! 🐢
